- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Obtain consent from emergency contacts before adding them
- Use the Service for lawful purposes only
- Keep your check-in schedule updated to reflect your actual availability
4. Notification Disclaimers
Important: While we strive for reliable notification delivery, we cannot guarantee:
- 100% delivery of all notifications (email systems may filter messages)
- Immediate delivery (delays may occur due to email provider processing)
- Action by your emergency contacts upon receiving notifications
This Service should not be your sole emergency contact method for life-threatening situations.
5. Limitation of Liability
Dead Man's Switch and its operators shall not be liable for:
- Any damages arising from service interruptions or failures
- Missed or delayed notifications due to technical issues
- Actions or inactions of emergency contacts
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
6. Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that:
- Violate these Terms of Service
- Engage in abusive or fraudulent behavior
- Attempt to compromise system security
You may delete your account at any time through the Settings page.
